HOLGATE TO LEAVE H&F

OUT
Are there fissures developing in the Tri-Borough 'project'?

It seems that the Labour Group at H&F have decided to appoint their own man/woman and dispense with the well liked Nicholas Holgate.

However, it's time Mr Holgate raised his game and started to throw his weight around....the useless Planning Dept would be a start.....

  2. Holgate may be liked but Kensington's standards are going south on his watch.

  3. Ignore the others, get on and bring the standards of Kensington back. Enough is enough.

  4. The tri Borough failed every test of joint venture planning when it was devised and put together. The whole exercise was an ego trip (another one) devised and promoted by disgraced ex Leader Cllr Pooter. Inevitable that it is falling apart.

Mr Holgate should not feel diminished or rejected. He is a first class Chief Executive. But he is an unfortunate casualty of regime change in H&F.

The sooner we get back to standards and conduct that are worthy of the Royal Borough the better.

    1. Nicholas Holgate deserves all the respect and support from the Royal Borough that can possibly be mustered. He has the impossible task of getting a good result from an organisation that is riddled with insecurities, muddled objectives and owners pulling in different directions with different value sets.

Holgate will quit. No point wasting his time in an impossible job. I give him six months. Then the fun starts - it will be impossible to find a replacement.

  5. The train crash is happening. Three different Chief Executives, three different elected bodies (two Conservative and one Labour) all pushing and pulling a single executive. What a farce.

But a great headline for Cockell at the time

  6. Holgate has staff in Hornton Street working across the three Boroughs unless he stands up for Kensington and brings this tri borough farce to a close it will quickly become unworkable and cost us as residents.

    1. I suppose we will now have a Bi Borough farce: K&C with Westminster.

  7. He must start by bringing procurement back to K and C and removing it from the useless Westminster department. It was Westminster that was responsible for giving the transport of vulnerable children to "spivs and wide boys", destroying a much respected small local business and leaving our officers to pick up the pieces and defend the indefensible.

  8. At every level so-called "tri" borough is disastrous. In virtually every RBKC department, excellent officers were forced out, leaving less expensive H&F officers to wreak havoc. Inexperienced H& F officers control sensitive departments. Remaining RBKC officers have been warned against discussing their concerns with elected RBKC members, on pain of dismissal! Mr Holgate may in fact be relieved that the tide is now turning.

  9. Hornton Street.... Blackadder meets Yes Prime Minister. No surprises here, the tri borough was a complete waste of time energy and money. Had the residents been asked about it none of it would have happened. Its a disgrace.
