SAVE OUR CHELSEA FARMERS MARKET. SIGN THE PETITION BEFORE 12 AUGUST!

PLEASE TAKE 60 SECONDS TO CLICK AND SIGN AND SAVE THE CHELSEA FARMERS MARKET

If the developers get their way, this wonderfully untouched part of Chelsea will soon reverberate to the sound of pneumatic drills and JCB's and the St Luke's park coated in suffocating dust.

Odd, isn't it, that highly controversial schemes like this one are submitted in peak holiday periods when residents are often away?
Well done, the developer's unpleasant agent, DP9....smart thinking!

The Farmers Market in Sydney Street is under threat from (probably) offshore property developers, anxious to bring in JCB’s and tear down this wonderful huddle of  small shops and cafes.

A loved part of Chelsea

They will replace something, on a weekly basis, drawing in thousands of visitors and residents, with a mass of dreary and expensive flats for absentee foreign owners: you know, from countries, you wouldn't want your gap year daughter sending postcards from.

Passing time in the Farmer's Market

No one disputes that the Royal Brompton needs to sweat its assets, but this can be done whilst simultaneously protecting a charming and much-loved enclave.

In recent months residents have risen up against property developers greedy schemes with varying degrees of success.
The Planning Committee has even dared override  the recommendations of officers.
However, committee members need to understand the strength of resident feeling.

This petition to the Council is an essential part of the process. It takes just sixty seconds to complete.

Please save our much-loved market. PETITION

  1. The Farmer's Market will be developed because its site is the construction point to put in the very welcome CrossRail2 station on the King's Road. So it is going to be a building site for several years and, when construction is over, it will be a mixed use development subject to local planning rules.

  5. Have the council not seen what is happening in the borough, London and the wider country. Luxury property prices are being slashed, the investor is not interested in luxury housing.

Savills have an empty property opposite the Farmer's Market. Billiosn £s worth of property is empty in London so this is another get rich scheme for someone who is neither a resident of this borough or country.

Dame what is going on at the council are Paget Brown and Borwick not listening to residents needs and wants?

    1. The Problem of Evil is an age-old problem. It will never go away as long as we live. It's like we will always produce rubbish as long as we live. So.... we only need to seek a solution 'HOW are we going to cope with it?' e.g. twice weekly rubbish collection(!) If you don't think this way, we'll all get depressed as hell.

The power up there don't want to listen because WE don't matter. Self-serving See You Next Tuesdays.
